Your household assumptions

Default example: 2 people, 2 brushing sessions/day, 2 minutes of running water per session, and 0.25 mL per drip. Replace estimates with your own observations.

How AquaShift calculates impact (and what it cannot claim)

Calculations use 30.44 days/month. Shower use = people x showers/week x minutes x liters/min x 30.44/7. Brushing assumes 2 sessions/person/day and 2 minutes/session with the tap running; the tap-off scenario assumes 0.3 minutes/session. A leaking tap assumes 0.25 mL/drop. Potential savings equal modeled baseline minus modeled scenario. When reducing shower duration and flow together, both changes are applied to the same scenario rather than counted twice.

Inputs are illustrative, not calibrated measurements. Actual household use includes activities this tool does not model, and flow rates, droplet size, frequency and human behavior vary. A meter records real interval consumption but cannot establish causality, weather effects, occupancy changes or pressure changes. No environmental outcomes, billing savings or CO2 reductions are guaranteed.
